Just jotting a quick note to share a gem of an article, If You Love Her, Let Her Grow, written by one of my industry heros, Kat Williams~of Rock N' Roll Bride~'s husband, Gareth Williams. Considering my blogging world crush on all things that are Rock N' Roll Bride, a rare opportunity to see things through her hubby's eyes really piqued my interest. He shares his thoughts about the power his wife's dreams have had over the course of their lives and ultimately, how that has shaped their relationship. More than anything else, Gareth's words about being partners, rather than viewing himself as second-in-command to his wife, really resonated with me. My own husband has been so incredibly supportive of me and not only does he regularly reassure me and "ooh and aahh" on behalf of my regularly crazy ideas, he is also there to keep me grounded and pose the questions that I myself either may not have considered or would rather skip over (lets be honest, the nitty-gritty details aren't exactly everyones cup of tea). Long story short, I loved, loved, LOVED this article so I do highly recommend reading it! I really feel like Gareth's perspective is so valuable not only because I could relate it to my own husband, but even more so that I myself can keep in mind that traditional career-minded marital roles need no longer apply and NO ONE should feel guilty about it!
