Just a little thing called a Wedding

So another little, ok lets be honest, huge change since my last revelation post a year ago...I got MARRIED!!

Now I will spare you all most of the nitty gritty details, like how many things can go wrong on a wedding day. I have come to realize thats a great way to invoke terror in brides-to-be. Not a good thing when I would like to be embraced by the wedding community for the future health of my business. So, onto the goodness...

Christopher Michael & Elizabeth Jean ~ October 8th, 2011 ~ The Simpson Barn, Johnston, IA

My maid of honor gave me the hanger which has my new last name scrawled in wire, love it!

Personal apple pies made by the mother of the groom.

White cake with rich vanilla bean filling and vanilla bean buttercream made by the mother of the bride.

Just a few favorites to show off, sorry I couldn't help myself:)

The shameless business person that I am, (any chance I can to plug Libby & Jean:)) I decided to make all of the accessories for the wedding. I was a crazy bride! I made each of my bridesmaids a necklace custom to each of their personalities and a goose and peacock feather hairpiece. Instead of a corsage, each of the mothers and grandmothers wore a montage brooch of vintage and re-worked pins and buttons. To complete my look, I created a birdcage style veil and a cream colored goose feather flower with cream, sand, and purple dyed peacock feather accents complete with freshwater pearl and swarovski crystal center (see 4th picture from top). My necklace was a mix of freshwater and cultured pearl strands along with vintage crystal strands woven together and joined with a vintage bow brooch and gold organza ties (see 2nd picture from top). I also made each of the guys boutonnieres with fresh flowers and bleached and dyed peacock feathers. I will post additional pictures of the individual pieces soon. I have revamped my brand as of recently and am currently putting together a look book with images of each of my pieces. I will be sure to post pictures to keep you all updated!

Lots of Love!
