Hooray for feathers!

Just a few days ago I put in a rather large order for hand dyed goose feathers to make hairpieces with. They spice up the look of my crystal combs and make the most beautiful flowers. They give my pieces a delicate look and an almost whimsical feel. When combined with color options and vintage trimmings feathers make for the perfect textural element to add some wow. Simply put, I luuuuv feathers!

Spend some time perusing supply vendors and there is no shortage of talent and high quality supplies on the lovely site that is Etsy. I have been lucky enough to find a fantastic feather vendor that works with only the highest quality feathers and stocks some of the most beautiful colors I have ever seen. Her name is Kim and you can find her shop, Kimonos,on Etsy. I warn you though, once you start looking you will be hard pressed to leave without a myriad of brightly colored feathers in your cart!

**Side note: Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! I was gone all day yesterday and my Siberian Husky puppy, Navi, spent the day without us. He must have missed not being able to spend Mother's Day with me because this morning when he got up, he promptly went outside, caught a bird, brought it in my house (ewww!), and dropped it at my feet (major ewww!). I can only assume this was his way of saying "Happy Mother's Day Mom", hahaha!
