New Scarves!

I have finally put up the latest batch of shibori dyed, silk habotai scarves on etsy in vivid colors ranging from aqua, jade, grape, fuschia, and berry! The unique texture of the scarves is what sets them apart from the masses. The beautiful ridges set into the fabric are part of the detailed creative process and are produced when the scarves are left to dry in their compressed form after dyeing. All of the scarves are hand wrapped on poles and set in a dye bath of whatever color I am feeling at the time:) The resist of the cording against the silk creates the striped two dimensional look that gives the fabric such a beautiful mix of color.

New colors will be explored soon with a new batch of scarves and a focus of even more contrast between the colors. Check back often to find more updates on products, new techniques, and new processes!
